Elton Goes Gaga Over Pop's First Lady

ELTON JOHN can't wait to work with LADY GAGA again because he considers the colourful pop star his "b**tard daughter".
The two stars teamed up for a theatrical performance at the Grammy Awards earlier this year (10) and Elton admits he's "smitten" with the Paparazzi singer.
He says, "She and I come from exactly the same place... I love her and I love her ability to write."
And the Brit tells Entertainment Weekly magazine his pal Lady Gaga is about to become an even bigger star when her new album is released next year (11).
He adds, "It's f**king amazing. Born This Way, which is the title song, will completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. This is the new I Will Survive... This is the new gay anthem

Gaga Was 'Painfully Shy' Before Pop Stardom

Outlandish singer LADY GAGA overcame crippling shyness to launch her career as a world famous pop star, according to her first manager.
Bob Leone says he first met the Just Dance hitmaker at an open mic night when she was 13 or 14 years old and went by her given name, Stefani Germanotta.
He worked with Gaga for several years and managed her for six months in 2006, overseeing her transformation.
He tells People.com, "It was a very important six months because going into it, she was Stefani, and she was still writing pop music. By the end of that six-month period, she was officially Lady Gaga."
But Leon admits the singer, now famous for her over-the-top ensembles and controversial pop lyrics, started as a timid teen who had to work up the nerve to perform.
He explains, "She was painfully shy - very different from who she is now. She came to the open mics with her mother twice before she built up the courage to go onstage."

Gaga's Sopranos Scene Is An Internet Hit

LADY GAGA has scored another online video hit after her acting debut in THE SOPRANOS at the age of 15 surfaced online.
The Poker Face hitmaker, who looks set to break a YouTube record with a billion plays of her promos, tested out her acting skills as a teenager with a role in the hugely successful drama series.
The episode, which aired in 2001, shows the star with long dark hair, playing a high school classmate of Tony Soprano's son A.J., poking fun at the youngster during an after hours swimming session.
The clip has now emerged online and is adding to Gaga's online dominance as it wracks up hits on video sharing website YouTube.com.

Lady Gaga and Johnny DeppTops Entertainment Power Poll

JOHNNY DEPP and LADY GAGA have landed the top spots on a major new magazine poll to find the Most Powerful Entertainers.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star tops the Entertainment Weekly list with editors insisting the quirky actor is such a big star he can "do anything he wants".
Excluding cameo and animated roles, the magazine estimates Depp's films have chalked up $5.9 billion globally.
Lady Gaga is second on the new list, thanks in part to her 5.1 million album sales in the past two years.
Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey comes in third, while Simon Cowell and Will Smith round out the top five.
Robert Downey, Jr., Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio and Eminem also make the top 10.
Meanwhile, in a linked poll, Sam Worthington and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe have been named the Highest-Grossing Movie Stars Under-40.
Aussie Worthington tops the list because his three leading films - Avatar, Clash of the Titans and Terminator Salvation - have earned a total of $1 billion, making his box office average $349.6 million (£233 million).
Radcliffe comes in second thanks mainly to his Harry Potter success - the 21 year old's box office average is $244.7 million (£163.1 million). Twilight stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson also make it into the top five, as does Will Smith's teenage son Jaden.
Orlando Bloom, Shia LaBeouf, Tobey Maguire, Hayden Christensen and Worthington's Avatar co-star Zoe Saldana round out the top 10.

Lewis Slams Gaga's 'Gross' Meat Dress

Staunch vegetarian LEONA LEWIS has criticised LADY GAGA for wearing a dress made of meat - branding the outfit "gross".
The Bleeding Love hitmaker is a dedicated animal rights campaigner, and even banned meat from her recent tour.
And Lewis admits she was stunned when she saw Lady Gaga walk the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards last month (Sep10) in a gown made entirely of slabs of beef.
She tells X magazine, "It was gross! I don't even like walking past a meat counter - so it's not my sort of dress. And I won't have meat all over my body."
Gaga has defended her decision to wear the controversial outfit, insisting she didn't mean any "disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian".

Gaga And Bieber On Course To Land One Billion Youtube Views

LADY GAGA and JUSTIN BIEBER are racing to become the first billion views YouTube artist.
Both stars are on course to hit one billion views on the video screening website within the next month.
Gaga is expected to hit the milestone later this month (Oct10), while Bieber is right behind her and should get there by 1 November (10).
And both are way out in front - the next closest artist to them is Michael Jackson with 600 million views.
Bieber might not be the first to get to one billion views but his Baby video is YouTube's most-watched promo.
